Ellie and the Hula Hoop

Ellie's teacher took this video her at sensory break and I thought it was just great. Look at her move.

Daddy's Legos

We had a nice day on Sunday without much on the agenda and Peter got out his old Legos for the kids. Tate and Ellie were so excited. Tate could not stop saying "Daddy these are really cool! I cannot stop looking at them."

EB just wanted to help her daddy wash them all. She really dug right into it and before long every bit of clothing was wet and she was naked.

Tate found 2 tires and made his eyes really big.

This was the best video I could get because everytime Tate caught me with the video camera he got mad and ran away.

Making a Snow Woman

Winter has returned and last night we got about three inches of snow. Not just any snow, packing snow and that means building a snow man. As it turns out we built a snow woman.

The girls work on their Snow Woman

And here she is!

EB makes Jammies for Levi

EB wanted to make pj's for Levi. I was so impressed with her creativity and pattern for the jammies. When she asked to do it I would have never come up with her "pattern."

The jammies are on the floor. She cut out places for his claws and tail. Amazingly they were all in the right place.

EB is so proud and Levi is so patient!

Posing for the picture.

Tate putting on his finishing touches -- apparently this was Levi's Halloween Costume.

Camp McLean

The Fox Tribe had its Winter camp out at Camp MacLean in Burlington, Wisconsin.  Attendance was a little sparse (two dads, four Princesses) but that didn't slow anyone down.

Princesses Tiger Lily and Wild Strawberry keep a lookout for Black Cloud.

Working together to conquer the confidence course.

Tiger Lily works the swinging rope over the "lava."

Tiger Lily scores another bull's eye!

Wild Strawberry is on target!

Working together to cross the tight wire.

Tiger Lily sleds before the snow melts.

The Entire confidence course team poses in front of the eight foot wall.  Thanks to the Comanche Tribe!

Wild Strawberry gets Black Cloud (before he lost his head).

Black Cloud is on the move!

Wild Strawberry makes a necklace.

The Fox Girls Cheer at dinner with Black Cloud (after emergency duct tape surgery).  The Fox Girls (all four of them) later beat out seven other tribes (10-25 girls each) to win First Place in  the Winter Camp Out Cheer competition.  The song was written by Tiger Lily and performed with gusto by all the Fox girls!  We're very proud.

Wild Strawberry shows off her necklace.

Hanging out by the camp fire.  Because of the smaller than expected turn out, the Fox tribe did not bring much wood so we spent the better part of an hour or two gathering-- and had the best fire (in my opinion).

Family of Hands

EB worked so hard on this poster of hands. I love Levi's paw print and Red Rose. She worked for a week on this and was so excited that Peter did his hand print before he left for work this morning. Look at that smile!

Sleeping children

I was very glad to have all the kids asleep tonight but when I went in to check on them before I went to bed they all looked so cute I had to get my camera.

Tate had a rough night because I wanted him to eat a good dinner. After calming down he came up to hug me and was so sweet. I asked him what he would be when he grew up and he said, "I will be loving you!" Okay, he melted my heart and I forgot about the 45 minutes of screaming over my wanting him to drink milk, eat turkey and broccoli.
EB looked so sweet sleeping on Strawberry. She hugs her every night and sleeps on her belly!

Harper has a ton of pillows in her bed and everynight she sleeps on the small one so it is easier to "flip thorugh the night when she needs a fresh pillow."

Rosey gets a home

Harper and Ellie worked and worked on making Rosy, the new red teddy bear, a home. I let them stay up a little later than Tate so they could finish. They did a great job. I love the expression on Harper when I asked that she and Ellie get a cute picture together. She was not pleased! Finally a cute one of the girls together.

Early Valentine's Day fun with Aunt Mary Ann

Auntie Mary Ann came over today for an early Valentine's Day and came with lots of good presents.
Isn't this sweatshirt with the giant panda great.  EB put it on right away and wants to wear it tomorrow.  I am sure it will get a lot of use.
Tate hugs anyone who brings him chocolate.  The Hershey Kisses where from Hershey.
Harper loved her Hello Kitty bath set.  I am sure this will only give
her an excuse to stay in the shower longer.
Even Levi got some presents.  He sniffed the bones
and then rolled over so we could rub his belly.
EB and Tate loved their bath sets.

Thank you Aunt Mary Ann.

Creative Food

As I was downloading pictures from the camera I came across some pictures that Tate took. I love that he figured out how to make them black and white. It is his pb&j sandwich which he has everyday for lunch, some gum for the nose and his banana for the mouth.

EB was not wanting anything to eat and I finally convinced her to eat 4 eggs. The only way was though if we put food coloring in them and mixed them. As we were cooking the eggs it looked like brains. As the eggs cooked the colors got more pronounced and started oozing out. They did not look great to me but EB ate them all and could not have loved them more.

I can't sit still.....

Peter took the kids out for some fun in the trampoline with the great weather. Here is my first stab at putting everything together in imovie.

Legos, Legos, Legos

Grandpa, Peter, Tate & Ellie spend an afternoon at the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club show at the Lombard library.

Ellie poses by the ferry.  The guy who built it said he modeled it after a ferry in Seattle.

Tate tries to take off in the Millennium Falcon.

Grandpa and EB get a bird's eye view.

Tate & EB check out the Millennium Falcon.

All three kids playing with the Legos.

Swimming Fun at RB

Tonight Harper had a dual meet at Riverside Brookfield. She was very tired from too much fun the night before but still went despite some whining. Once there she was having a great time. Getting ready for the relay.
