Sisters in the Library

The girls don't share a lot of moments together. So it's nice to get a picture when they do. I had to sneak this one while I was quietly walking by!

Fun on the Train

The girls and I were alone for the weekend while the boys were camping. We had a super great day going with the Fochts to Downers Grove on the train to celebrate their family day. It was also a great opportunity for some camera fun. Love these pictures and thank you to Ruthanne for doctoring up.

Fun with the kids at Pizza Hut

Tonight it ended up that I went with just Tate and Harper to Pizza Hut. We had a really great time. It was great to talk with them and just hang out. Harper even divulged to me a boy has been chatting with her a lot. Peter was glad he missed that talk. :)

The Wii is back

Tate lost his Wii on Friday and it was gone for the weekend and this is very devastating if you are out to save Princess Zelda. All day Saturday he kept asking for it to come back and I said he had more to do to earn it back. He got it back a little bit ago, perhaps it was folding ALL the American Girl Doll Clothes that earned him back his Wii. He had a lot of patience and sorted all the accessories, put all the Polly Pockets back in a bin and lined all the dolls up. Figured after that kind of patience and dedication he could have his Wii back!

A clean jumping room and doll area and hours spent making it that way gets your Wii back! :)

Happy Tate!

Art work goes digital

I have been collecting the kids' art work for years and not wanting to part with it. I have been convinced by Peter to go digital with it so here it goes. I have to admit I could not bring myself to carry these to the garbage, Peter did that for me!

These are not perfect but at least I have good pictures backed up that will be forever memories. You can tell Harper is the first because she has an entire bin and I have yet to start hers.

Drum roll..... here are the videos, only a mother or father or grandma or grandpa could love!

Hallway art work that we collected from last school year...

Bedtime?

Tonight EB and Tate wanted to sleep together in the bunk beds. Usually this does not work but they promised they would go right to sleep. They were super quiet and that is when I should have known they were up to something. I am not sure what to say about Tate's rainbow -- does he have too many Silly Bandz? does he have a little Type A in him or is he a true artist? -- I am going with all of the above. EB was super good while Tate was sorting and was so sweet laying in the top bunk.

Mystery Reader

Today I was mystery reader in Tate's class. When I walked in to the class he rolled his in disgust when he saw me. I think he thought I was there to check up on him. Once he realized I was the mystery reader, he was all smiles and introduced me to his friends. I brought all the Olivia books and Bears in the Night, Peter's book as a little boy and one of Tate's favorites.

My bear

Tate thinks any potty word is funny and mix that with dirty underwear you get something hysterical! I asked Tate to clean up his dirty clothes in his room and he said he could not pick-up the dirty underwear because he bear loves to wear them. What did I do but laugh and get my camera, what can I say? He was laughing so hard I could not help myself. Know there is no more dirty underwear in his room and it came right off the bear and went down the laundry chute.

Friends from Hong Kong

Harper and her friends did craft camp this summer where we alternated between friends' houses doing fun things. I worked out for them to have pen pals in Hong Kong with someone I know there who teaches English. The girls were so excited about getting their letters and pictures back. We are hoping to get some letters of our own back to them soon.
