Crafting all day long!

Today we went with Grandma and Grandpa to the Craft and Hobby Show at Rosemont. We were not sure what to expect but loved it. There were tons of crafts to do at every booth and there was even a Kids' Zone for the kids.

Tate at the Cricut exhibit with Woody and Buzz. They were pretty cool but I have no idea how you could make them on a Cricut machine!

Tate making a wallet out of duct tape. He was so excited he got to keep the duck tape as he was the last one at the exhibit before they brought out a new craft. If you are in the market for a new wallet he is making them for $5.99.

The highlight for the kids may have been making tie-dye spray painted shirts. They used a lot of paint and it still was not enough!

KIDS' ZONE

This is were the majority of the crafting took place. There was even a lady there that did free face-painting and the kids were so excited. The most I have ever popped for them for face painting is a small thing on the cheek. They went wild!

Spiderman thought he would hang with Batman and Superman!

Apple Camp

The kids went to Apple Camp this week to learn iMovie. They had a really good time. The first day was doing the storyboard and then we were off filming. EB did Chinatown, Harper did a newscast and Tate did a video "led" by Harper about His Dog Levi. Here are some cute pictures from the first day!

MOVIES COMING SOON!

Oregon, Illinois that is!

Peter had a late start to the day as he had Court in Oregon, Illinois. All was quiet and we got a call that the old car had died past DeKalb on the highway. Off we were to rescue him and for a little adventure!

The car by the side of the road. Thankfully after a towing bill over $200 and only a fuel pump we are up and running again! So relieved as we would have been back to being a one car family.

The old Courthouse in Oregon, Illinois. It was fun for the kids because they had Tee Pee's all around town. We only stopped for one as no one but Ellie would go in them as they were hot and filled with bugs.

Peter was very excited to take a little detour on the way home to see the GIANT Black Hawk Statute. The view was wonderful over the river and Tate kept saying, "look at all the broccoli trees."

There is a match!

Today we were officially matched with Fisher in Ethiopia. Meaning that the people that work for the agency in Ethiopia have all of our paperwork and know we are the family for Fisher. We are so excited as this brings us one step closer to bringing him home. Next step, court date which won't be until October we believe as the courts are closing for the rainy season.

Here are some pictures of Sele Enat, the orphanage where Fisher is.
