Beach Day -- Oak Street Beach

We headed down to Oak Street Beach after lunch today and had a great time. We stayed much longer than we thought we would as the kids had no desire to leave.

It was a gorgeous day -- not too hot and the beach was not too crowded.   So much fun for the long holiday weekend not far away from home.

Boys hanging out playing some soccer.

STOP GROWING.

Tate wanted to dig a really big hole and he was so excited when he got water -- so fun to see how the hole grew the entire time we were there.  It was a team effort from the 3 younger kids and some friends they met on the beach.

"Unpluging" at the beach.

If only my kids could have had ice cream, their lives would have been complete.

digging....

digging...

getting bigger....

I tried to venture out but it was so cold, I did not last long.

Harper loved that she got this picture of Fisher flipping his hair.

Always with a soccer ball.

digging some more...

Harper's favorite type of picture -- jumping...

The hole before we left.

So big all the kids could fit in it.

ON FOR THE MURALS -- we picked Oak Street beach so we could get fun pictures in front of the murals.  That was my entire photography goal for the outing.  Kids were not having anything to do with it heading to the beach and PROMISED they would pose after the beach.  So happy they were all cheerfully game to do this.

THE RED DIVVY!

and the red divvy is back!

Make that hot dog without a bun and cooked in the oven and Tate would have been in heaven.

EB found this butterfly on the way back to the car.

The kids really wanted a Sprinkles Cupcake, so much so they agreed to share a cupcake with their partner.  Tate and I were partners, Fisher and EB and Peter and Harper.

Tate had never been before to the Cupcake ATM and was in heaven.    It could be addicting for him.
