Itty Bitty Sewing Machine

Ellie participated in a research study about kids with an IEP for ED classifications. She did a great job, shared her experiences in school and being in Ms. Focht's class. The best part was she got a $20.00 Amazon gift card. She was so so giddy having $20.00 spend on anything. She took some time and decided to get a small sewing machine. I was hesitant because I did think it work, she would get frustrated and it would just not be fun for me!

It turns out it was all great. She did not get frustrated, can change the thread and it sews like a champ so far!

Here is something she made for Tate for Christmas. We have told the kids this year that all the presents they give or receive in our family will be handmade. It has been really fun seeing them make so many different things for everyone, all with love. I cannot get over the detail of the M. She came up with how to do it all by herself. I see a future for her with Stitches So Sweet.
