Tate - My Summer at Disney

I love how Tate's writing is progressing.  So so proud of him, especially since he usually uses as few words as possible when writing to save time.  

Curriculum Night Letters

These letters were waiting on the kids' desks for curriculum night. They crack me up as they are so them. Fisher's letter never made it home but it was so wonderful and he tried so hard to write his letter.

Tate tried to use as few words as possible.  Have to love the "/" between Mom and Dad.

EB of course took so much time with her letter and added lots of detail.  

Harper's letter is so cute because she is so so excited about her locker and all her teachers.  This year is a big year  for Harper switching classes in 6th grade, her last year in elementary school.  

Bring Love In

We were very blessed to have the Benkert Family come to our house and share what they are doing in Ethiopia. Bringing together widows and orphans. It was wonderful so many people that came to meet them.  Truly, it was just an amazing 24 hours having them here together.  So much so that I let the kids stay home this morning for one last fun play date.  Everyone was said to see them leave but know we will see them again in Ethiopia.

Indiana

Today we had our annual FUN summer gathering at Uncle Bernie's house in Indiana. The biggest excitement for the kids is always seeing David and that Uncle Bernie and Ann spoil them with Gatorade. We left with 40 bottles of different flavors of Gatorade. What can be more, maybe a race car?

Apple and Pear Picking

Today Grandma and Grandpa came over and Peter came home a bit early from work and I made a nice dinner. The apples and pears are ripe and it was time for picking them. We cannot wait to get cooking with them. Everyone is already wanting Apple Cobbler!

First Day of School

First day of school for all the kids. This is the last year they will all be at the same school and I have to admit it makes me a little bit sad. Harper is in 6th, EB is in 5th and the boys are in 3rd. As soon as we got to school property, Harper ran off and had no need for us, EB barely had a need for us and the boys humored us by letting us take a few pictures and hang with them. WHERE HAVE ALL MY BABIES GONE??????

Pencil Bags

I am always so busy sewing that it is fun to take time and actually do something fun. Harper and Anna wanted pencils bags and they had to be cute, after all, they sit on their desks in school everyday. The girls each picked out super cute designs and we got stitching and sewing.
