Sunday Funday

EB volunteered to read in church and we were so proud of her. Reading in front of a full house is truly such a triumph for her, it is amazing. We think she did a great job and we have video to prove it.

After lunch we finally got in the birthday lunch/dinner for Harper and Grandma's birthday at Benihana.  It was so much fun to do a "first" with Fisher.  He LOVED everything about it and thought it was great fun.  Not the best pictures as I only had my iphone but you can see how much fun we all had.

10 year old pictures of the boys!

The boys are 10 and that means you a get a new picture in the hall. Today it was unseasonably warm in Chicago so we headed out for pictures and some fun -- maybe only fun for me. They gave me 5 minutes without complaining. We only do black and whites in the hall and I cannot decide which one. I am going to do one of each of them individually and one together. Peter Daniels calls these pictures their LinkedIn pictures. LOVE the one of the boys full body in color. May have to print that one for my office.

Playing with Lightroom and some natural light.

I have been wanting to get pictures of the kids from the shadows and had time tonight after work to take some pictures of the 3 home after work with the last bit of natural light that was available. Mix that with some time to play with Lightroom, you have these pictures....

Holiday Lights Misery -- 2013

We have been home for days it seems with someone sick so tonight we packed everyone up and headed to Brookfield Zoo. The kids were not that excited but EB was over the moon about it all.
A picture on the lion.

Ready to head off and see the lights.

Look at those smiles and that love.

Neither one was cool enough to get on the lion.

One last picture.  They are too big to be on the lion so Tate hung back and snuck a picture.

Do not let the alligator get you EB!

Ride that frog, Tate!

EB and Tate learning about an animal and so excited to touch it.

The lady said it would make a great pet.  Really?!?!?

Harper, cannot quite give a full smile.

Trying hard but not successful!

Fisher was so excited to tell me about why a swamp is important.  So excited to see him reading and wanting to learn.

Harper needing a little pick me up from Daddy.

The baby!

LOVE THESE!!!!

Can you spy Tate, Fisher, Harper and EB?

Finally some fun light pictures.

Love Harper's creative eye when finding this great picture spot.

EB wanted a picture too!

Tate

The polar bears leading the sleigh.

Finally they started to have some fun -- making snowballs.

And once you have a snowball, you want an action shot in the dark of it being smashed.  I can only get so much action with no flash and it being dark.

While the other were smashing snowballs EB went to get a wax angel for herself.  She said it was a pretty as she is, I think she is prettier.

Harper got a picture of us with some lights to boot!

Is that a smile?
